I believe that mindset and time management are the keys to success of mompreneurs. Working moms have great insights into markets gaps and my experience of running my own business while raising my small son has been that when you're not chained to the computer all day because you can't be. There's so much else to do! There is plenty of time for thinking and strategising. This makes the time I do spend at the computer (my main distribution channel and where I capture my blogs and book content) so much more effective. Good on all the mums giving it a go... and I hope we'll continue to see the rise of mumpreneurs into the future leaders of our businesses and communities.

Re: How Humor Can Help Grow Your Business

Thank you Rob. As evidenced by my post, I, too, agree that permission should be granted explicitly. After you receive a business card, it only takes a second to ask " I would like to send you information about my business, would that be okay?". Rejection is never fun but that is part of owning a business and the person who says "no" is actually doing me a favor. The simple and courteous act of asking leaves a great first impression. I'll remember the time you took to ask, and if I can't benefit from your services, you'll be top of mind when I encounter someone that does.

Re: The Hustle, Smallvolution and Tinu Abayomi-Paul

Your workshops sounds so wonderful. One of the most important things to do before starting your own business is to make a business plan. Too often I see people just "winging it" and the results are not good. One of the hardest aspects of starting your own enteprise for the very first time is finding the strength of mind to keep pushing things forward. Especially during the tough times when you're not sure if you're headed in the right direction and things are going against you.

A businesswoman I admire greatly has the mantra, belief + action = success and I firmly believe it.

Re: Four Reasons Not to be an Entrepreneur: And Why You Should Ignore Them

Thank you for this article.
